Found in hydrothermally affected agpaitic rocks. The Ti-dominant analog of nenadkevichite. It forms epitaxial overgrowths on elpidite crystals.

Name Origin:
Named after Mikhail Fedorovich Korobitsyn (1928-1996), amateur mineralogist and collector who made significant contributions to mineralogical investigations of the Lovozero alkaline complex.
